These terms apply to your use of actionref.com. By reading the site you accept them. If any part does not suit you, please stop using the site.

1. What this site is

ActionRef is an editorial project that reviews mobile games published on Google Play. It is an information source, not a store and not a distribution platform. No game is downloaded from this site: every catalogue entry links to the title's own Google Play listing, where the store's terms apply.

2. Reviews are opinion

The referee's call at the end of each entry is the considered opinion of the desk after playing the title, and reasonable people may disagree with it. Star figures shown beside a game are the Google Play scores recorded on the day of the check, quoted as published together with the review count. Store figures move over time, so what you see on Google Play may differ from the figure in an entry. Games are also updated by their studios, and behaviour we describe may change after publication.

3. Advertising disclosure

Some links and placements on this site are commercial, including promoted links to games on Google Play and display placements served by advertising networks. Placements are labelled where they appear, so you can tell them apart from editorial content.

Editorial work is kept separate from these arrangements. No commercial agreement changes a rating, a referee's call, or the order in which entries appear in the catalogue, and no studio sees an entry before publication. If a title on the board is also the subject of a placement, the entry is written to the same rulebook as every other entry.

4. No affiliation

ActionRef is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise connected to Google LLC, to Google Play, or to any of the studios whose titles are listed. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Studio names are used only to identify the developer of a title.

5. Intellectual property

App icons, screenshots, game titles, studio names and logos belong to their respective rights holders and appear here for identification and commentary in the course of editorial reporting. The written entries, the rulebook, the page design, the ActionRef name and the arrangement of this site belong to ActionRef.

You may quote short passages with a clear link back to the page you took them from. Republishing whole entries, or reproducing the design, requires our written permission. If you hold rights in material shown here and would like it removed, write to the desk and we will act promptly.

6. Links to other services

Entries link to Google Play and, occasionally, to other third-party pages. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, their terms or the way they handle your information. Read their own notices before using them.

7. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its server or its availability to others.
• Do not scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for other readers.
• Do not present material from this site as your own, or in a way that suggests we endorse your product.
• Do not submit another person's email address to the desk list.

8. Availability and warranties

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We aim for accuracy and re-check entries when large updates land, but we do not warrant that every detail is complete or current, or that the site will be available without interruption or error. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the content of this site.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Changes to the site and to these terms

The board changes as titles are added, re-checked or retired, and these terms may be updated with it. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
